At Kuja Special School for the Deaf, the Feeding Programme remains one of the most essential services provided to our learners. We firmly believe that quality education begins with proper nutrition, as a healthy learner is better prepared to learn, participate, and achieve their full potential. Our commitment extends beyond academic instruction to ensuring that every child receives the care and nourishment necessary for holistic growth and development.
As a school serving learners with hearing impairments and other special educational needs, we recognize that adequate nutrition is fundamental to their well-being. Proper meals contribute significantly to learners' physical health, concentration, emotional stability, and overall academic performance. Through the feeding programme, we strive to create an environment where every learner can focus on learning without the burden of hunger.
The school provides meals that are carefully planned to meet the nutritional needs of our learners. Despite these efforts, maintaining a comprehensive feeding programme remains a considerable challenge. The rising cost of food commodities, cooking fuel, kitchen supplies, and other essential requirements continues to place a heavy financial burden on the institution. At times, the expenses involved in providing consistent and nutritious meals for all learners can be overwhelming, stretching the school's available resources and budget.
Nevertheless, Kuja Special School for the Deaf remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that every learner receives adequate nutrition. We deeply appreciate the support of parents, guardians, government agencies, well-wishers, development partners, and friends of the school who continue to contribute towards this noble cause. Their support has enabled us to sustain the programme and positively impact the lives of our learners.
As we move forward, we remain hopeful that more partners and supporters will join hands with us in strengthening the Feeding Programme. Every contribution, regardless of its size, helps provide a meal, restore hope, and create a better learning environment for our children.
