Welcome to the Science Department!

Our goal is to inspire learners to develop curiosity, creativity and critical thinking through the study of science. We believe that science helps learners understand the world around them and equips them with practical skills to solve everyday problems.

In our department we have a school laboratory where we encourage active learning through experiments, projects and use of modern technology. We also participate in Kenya Science Engineering Fair (KSEF).

We strive to create a supportive environment where learners can explore their talents and build confidence in scientific inquiries. Through teamwork and dedication, we aim to make science enjoyable, meaningful and relevant to the real life situation.

Though we continue to make significant progress in promoting quality education to our learners with hearing impairment, however the department faces some challenges that affect the effective delivery of science learning.

Challenges We Face:

• One of the major challenge is inadequate laboratory equipments and digital learning resources. This makes it difficult to conduct practical lessons effectively.
• Financial constraints also remain a challenge in purchasing laboratory chemicals, equipment, and maintaining science facilities.

The department appreciates the support from the school administration, parents, and other stakeholders in helping improve science learning resources.

Despite these challenges, the department remains committed to providing quality science education, promoting innovation, and nurturing young scientists who will positively contribute to society. We appreciate the continued cooperation and support from all stakeholders as we work together to achieve excellence in science education.
