Welcome to the Music Department!

Music is a universal language that transcends barriers. At Kuja School for the Deaf, our Music Department empowers learners to express themselves through rhythm, body percussion, sign language interpretation, and instrumental performance.

Our Vision: To be a centre of excellence in music education for learners with hearing impairment, nurturing talent, creativity, and artistic expression.

Our Mission: To provide quality music instruction that develops learners' rhythmic awareness, performance skills, cultural appreciation, and confidence through innovative teaching methods.

What We Offer: Rhythm and Percussion, Sign Language Interpretation of Songs, Traditional Dances, Instrumental Music (Drums, Keyboard, Guitar), Music Theory, Choral Verse, and Cultural Performances.

Our Achievements: County Music Festival Champions 2022, 2023, 2024; National Music Festival Finalists 2023; Best Sign Language Interpretation Award 2024.
