⚠️ Fish Farming Challenges
Understanding the obstacles we face in fish production
Despite the success of our fish farming project, we face several challenges that affect productivity and growth. Below are the key challenges we encounter and our plans to address them.
High Cost of Fish Feeds
The high cost of quality fish feeds and supplements increases operational expenses and limits profitability.
Water Quality Management
Maintaining optimal water quality, pH levels, and oxygen content requires constant monitoring and expensive equipment.
Water Shortages
Seasonal droughts and unpredictable weather conditions often lead to water shortages, affecting fish growth and survival.
Fish Diseases
Fish diseases and parasites can spread quickly in ponds, requiring costly veterinary interventions and medications.
Limited Financial Resources
Limited financial resources make it difficult to acquire quality fingerlings, modern equipment, and adequate feed reserves.

Limited Water Supply since pipes are broken
Manual pond prepation which is tiresome.
Lack of Modern Equipment for harvesting. Students does it by themselves
High prevalence of predators especially birds. So we use the green nets to confuse them. The net is expensive.
