📋 About The Church
For many years, the Church has stood as one of the most faithful and compassionate partners of Kuja Comprehensive School for the Deaf, extending the love of God through selfless service and unwavering support. Through the generosity of congregations such as Rongo Central Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church and Rongo Catholic Church, many of our learners have received educational sponsorship, giving them an opportunity to remain in school and pursue their dreams despite difficult family and financial circumstances. These acts of kindness have transformed lives, restored hope to vulnerable children, and reminded them that they are valued members of society.
Beyond financial assistance, the Church has played an irreplaceable role in nurturing the spiritual growth and moral character of our learners. Through regular fellowship, worship services, Bible teachings, prayer sessions, and spiritual mentorship, our learners are encouraged to develop strong values of honesty, discipline, love, respect, forgiveness, and perseverance. For children living with hearing impairment, this spiritual guidance instills confidence, hope, and the assurance that they are wonderfully created with a unique purpose in life.
The Church has also become a trusted source of guidance and counselling, offering emotional and psychological support to learners as they navigate personal challenges, family difficulties, and the realities of growing up with a disability. Through compassionate counselling, mentorship, and encouragement, church leaders have helped many learners overcome fear, low self-esteem, and discouragement, empowering them to face life with renewed confidence and determination. In addition, the Church has continually extended material support through donations of food, clothing, bedding, learning materials, and other essential supplies that have greatly improved the welfare and well-being of our learners.
As Kuja Comprehensive School for the Deaf continues its mission of empowering children with hearing impairment through quality education, we remain profoundly grateful to Rongo Central SDA Church, Rongo Catholic Church, and every church and faith-based organization that has walked this journey with us.
